All of our 33 rooms have been designed to provide you with the comfort and class you would expect from Edinburgh's second castle.

Although individually designed, all our rooms, including the standard rooms, have every comfort the modern guest could wish for. Whether you are recovering after a hard day of outdoor pursuits, or just want a little time to unwind in your own company, you are sure to feel very much at home.

The humbly titled 'Standard' rooms maintain the opulence and elegance of the castle, and can only be called 'standard' when compared to the grandeur of the Superior rooms.

Superior Rooms

The Superior rooms are so named as they are luxuriously spacious, with attention to fine detail of utmost importance. The large windows elegantly frame spectacular views of the castle's grounds, and in the rear facing rooms the meandering North Esk River.

Gallery Rooms
The two-tiered gallery rooms provide a unique hotel experience, with the sleeping quarters on the upper floor, overlooking a luxurious living area below.

Four-Poster Suites
To complete the castle experience, one must experience the grandeur of a four-poster bed with spacious, opulent and romantic living quarters. For some much deserved indulgence, request the 'Spa' four-poster suite.
