Edinburgh International Airport is situated on the outskirts of the city, and is directly linked to several international airports. However, for those cities without direct links, several airlines operate frequent shuttle flights from both London Heathrow and London Gatwick.

The most direct and convenient transport to the hotel is by taxi, which will take around 20 minutes and cost approximately £25.

The airport houses several car-hire companies, providing a range of vehicles to suit all preferences.

The most economic route (although the longest) is to take to the frequent Airport Bus direct to the city centre at a cost of £3. From the city centre, take the number 3 bus from Princes Street, which will take you to the gates of the castle driveway at a cost of £1. This option will take approximately 1 hour. It is not advisable for those with considerable luggage.
